The Burt VFW
The Burt VFW hosts the community service on Memorial Day each year. They have a breakfast fund raiser each year on the Sunday closest to Veterans Day. They meet the second Tuesday of each month at the Burt Community Center at 7:00 p.m. during the winter months and 8:00 p.m. in the summer months. Commander: Harold Lavrenz
The Burt Women’s Club
The Burt Womens Club provide flowers for the flower barrels on Walnut Street each summer. Members take turns watering and weeding the flowers throughout the season. They are also a good supporter of the local library. They meet on the third Monday of each month at the homes of members at 7:00 p.m.
Kossuth County Genealogy Society
The Kossuth County Genealogical Society was incorporated in June of 2007 and is a chapter of the Iowa Genealogical Society.

The Burt Lions Club
The Burt Lions Club meets on the third Monday of each month at the Burt Community Center at 6:30 p.m. The meeting starts with a dinner followed by a business meeting and a program. During the course of the year there are three fund raisers, a French Toast Breakfast, an Omelet Breakfast and the annual sale of the “Burt Birthday Calendar”.
“To empower Lions clubs, volunteers, and partners to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian services and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.”

Burt Summer Celebration Committee
The Burt Summer Celebration Committee started in 1996. They host several fundraisers throughout the year to eaise money to keep the Burt Summer Celebration event Free. The Burt Summer Celebration is always the second weekend in July.
