Personnel & Finance: The personnel and Finance Committee is responsible for the oversight of the city’s financial health and the management of its human resources. The committee reviews all matters related to the municipal budget, taxation, city audits, and labor relations before they are presented to the full City Council for a vote.
Economic Development: The Economic Development Committee serves as an advisory body to the City Council to promote a diverse and resilient local economy. Our mission is to attract new investment, support the retention and expansion of existing businesses, and advocate for policies that create high-quality jobs and enhance the community’s unique character. Also attends KCEDC meetings and reports back to the City Council.
Parks & Complex: The Committee acts as the bridge between the City Council and the public. Its primary purpose is to ensure that the city’s green spaces and community facilities are well-maintained, accessible, and meeting the evolving needs or residents.
